Whether you have a day off or are planning a short trip, here are some must-see attractions near Querétaro:

San Miguel de Allende
(a 70-minute drive)
A dreamy colonial city, artistic and full of charm. Think cobblestone alleys, art and design, a pink cathedral, and daisies on the terraces.
Places to visit: San Miguel Arcángel Parish, artisan markets, La Aurora Gallery, Dôce 18 concept store.
Where to eat: Quince rooftop, Altar, La Única, Hacintto, Mia de pies a cabeza.
Accommodations: boutique hotels like Casa Hoyos or 1810, as well as Los Picachos, Rosewood, and Live Aqua. For our more alternative guests, Habitas!




Bernal
(50-minute drive)
A “Magical Town” known for the Peña de Bernal, one of the tallest monoliths in the world.
Things to do: hike halfway up the Peña (easy to moderate difficulty, 1.5 hours round trip), shop for handicrafts, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Where to eat: Kuhi, Olivo Tinto, La Rocca




Vineyards
(50–80-minute drive)
Querétaro is a wine region! The Wine and Cheese Trail features charming haciendas, tastings, and guided tours. You’ll find great wines, delicious food, and plenty of special spots.
Favorites: San Lucas, Tres Raices, Casa de Quino, Freixenet, and De Côte.
